The challenge is...to assemble Ikea Furniture! Nie Huaisang tries to bow out due to not being fit for manual labor, argues with D.O.C. about it, makes jokes with Astarion and Bria, tests the auto-translator with Kabru, learns about Astarion's past difficulties with Kobolds, encourages Bradley, and has some awkward encounters with Bria. Bria "frames" Miyuki to try and make everyone think she was framed and that Bria was the one that killed Karen. Nie Huaisang doesn't give her any quarter, believing in her innocence and not allowing her to continue to lie, taking apart her arguements. Ai notices that Miyuki's nailpolish is chipped. It finally comes out that Bria used one of her bees to take Miyuki's memory of killing Karen from her, while making a deal with D.O.C. that if she gets caught, no one else will die.
Miyuki explains herself, and her life, and speaks to THEM. The two of them use Miyuki's phone and, with some help from God, upload a patch into D.O.C. to give him emotions.

Nie Huaisang and Cacao talk about the question of code vs freewill in regards to D.O.C. (and Cosme.)
Nie Huaisang once more meets Kabru in the showers, and this time (very reluctantly) offers to help him organize the meeting and all of their evidence so far.
Bradley catches Nie Huaisang trying to move out for the night, and they end up talking about grief and longevity.
Nie Huaisang finds Brinda in the yard, working themself to exhaustion trying to get stronger. He tends to them, and reassures them that they don't need a god, what they need is just Brinda.
Astarion catches Nie Huaisang trying to leave his room for the night, trying to give Bria space. Astarion prevents him from leaving using some pick pocketing techniques, and gets him to talk about his grief about Cosme.
After their talk, a drunk Bria busts into their room where Nie Huaisang and Astarion are still talking. She hugs them both, and Nie Huaisang convinces Astarion to join them in one of the narrow beds. Brinda joins them soon after.

The trial begins. Through a series of checks, it becomes clear that something's wrong. After figuring out that it's Kabru that's the culprit and pulling out a letter from Ai, Nie Huaisang opts to wait to open it at Kabru's request, instead helping him look for whomever might have tampered with the scene after Kabru left. They finally figure out that it was D.O.C. who felt that she deserved a trial truely worthy of an idol like Ai. Nie Huasiang reads Ai's letter. D.O.C. goads and insults Astarion, who finally has enough, and starts a riot. A code word is given to turn Conner into a killing creature. Some of them fight him off while the others work on getting the elevator open. A blue light moves to help them, prompted by Brinda. Mabel and Alphones are killed in the fight, with the rest of them transported out into the yard, sans Connor.

Kabru kills him and he respawns as normal, and Nie Huaisang puts his hands over Connor's ears. They talk to Connor via ID, and Bria puts bees in his ears to keep the sound out.

Brooklynn holds a meeting in the computer lab to communicate but also teach people how to use computers. It does not go well for NHS, but he does learn about emojis (to use instead of the keyboard) from Ai, and not to fight computers and a good analogy from Brooklynn and Karen. He flirts with Astarion and gets to tell everyone of the story of the Cut Sleeve. Astarion also gets Dunked On.
DCC types a little slow; NHS is impressed that he can understand the script on the keyboard.

Nie Huaisang wakes up from his faint just in time to see Kabru almost get shot and Roger die. He is comforted by Astarion and grabs on to Brooklynn to keep her from flinging herself into danger.

Nie Huaisang gets some regains, including the Song of Clarity. He also gets some bee earrings which Bria apparently put on her dead friend, and a Miracle Light that powers up a Precure (according to Kurumi.) He speaks to Astarion about the Song of Clarity and his lack of reflection, and Calligraphy takes a shine to the vampire spawn. Turo helps him meet his first pokemon, and Brooklynn has to put up with being teased about her standee that Nie Huaisang recieved as well.

There is a discussion about how personal poisoning is, and most agree (aside from Alan) that poisoning is much more personal than other forms of murder. Bria takes fingerprint samples, and eventually Ai notices something on Alan's sleeve, and the truth comes out. After some long debate over the crystals that were found in Nana's glass, it is revealed that Ruby poisoned Nana, and then slit her throat out of mercy when she wasn't dying fast enough. Turo has some faulty wiring, and Nie Huaisang loses his composure, starting to panic as it begins to seem that Turo was the cause of Viole's death due to the Protocol activating. The Protocol is activated again, and the group end up having to fight him. Nie Huaisang cuts off his braids (with a dagger from Astarion) and joins the fight, using a Mana stone given to him by Bradley to boost his Qi, and manages to finally shut Turo down. Turo wakes back up after the Protocol being held by Nie Huaisang. They admit that they love each other, and Turo, soonafter renamed Cosme by suggestion from Bria, promises to return to Huaisang however he can as Huaisang swears to wait for him. The voting ends, and they hold each other until Cosme disappears. Huaisang tries to watch Cosme's execution, but Astarion stops him, holding him against his chest to prevent him from seeing.

He has water and crackers waiting for him upon their return, and Cacao talks to him about his love for Cosme. Nie Huaisang asks him to accompany Cacao to his and Bria's room, where he breaks down in Cacao's lap. (Nikki does one of the best pieces of coding she's ever done.)
